Hope

PHOTO PROMPT @ Trish Nankeville

Keshia, the servant girl, stumbled out of the castle into the light. The sun was glorious and it was a good time for her brief walk. The palace was surrounded by gardens. It was the end of the summer season and the plants were in their glory.

Keshia spotted the royal flower. Red with white tentacles waving in the wind. As she got closer, she realized the flowers were releasing their tentacles. They settled on other Kingdoms and were harbingers of peace and prosperity. It was a time when symbols of hope might make the difference between survival and chaos.

For Friday Fictioneers. Thanks, Rochelle!
